Common Honda problems we fix
IMA battery failure (Civic Hybrid, Insight)
Older Honda IMA packs lose capacity, the IMA light comes on and the car stops assisting and recharging. We test the pack and either recondition it or replace it.
Accord and CR-V Hybrid battery codes
The two-motor system is tough, but packs still age, especially in inland heat. A P0A7F or battery deterioration code gets a full module-level test before we quote.
Battery cooling fan and filter
Honda hybrids cool the battery with cabin air. A clogged intake makes the pack run hot and age early. It is a cheap fix that protects an expensive part.
12V battery and electrical gremlins
A weak 12V battery on a Honda hybrid causes no-starts and a dash full of warnings that look much worse than they are. We test it first.
Brakes and regen
Hybrid brakes last a long time, but calipers stick and rotors rust from light use. We service them like any other wear item.

How much does a Honda hybrid battery replacement cost?
It depends on the model and year. Older Civic Hybrid and Insight IMA packs cost less than Accord or CR-V Hybrid packs. Call with your year and mileage and we will give you a written quote. Code scans are free.
Can you repair a Honda IMA battery instead of replacing it?
Sometimes. If most cells test healthy, reconditioning can restore performance for less money. If the pack is worn across the board, replacement is the better value. We show you the test results.
Do you work on the CR-V Hybrid?
Yes. CR-V Hybrid battery diagnostics, cooling, brakes, 12V systems and maintenance.
Is it worth fixing an old Civic Hybrid?
If the engine and body are solid, a battery job usually costs less than replacing the car. If it isn't worth it, we will say so.
