P0A80 "Replace Hybrid Battery" on a Camry or Avalon
The pack has one or more weak modules. We load-test every module, then either replace the pack with new modules or rebalance it if the numbers say it has life left. 2007-2017 Camry Hybrid batteries are $3,189 with a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty.
Battery cooling fan clogged (RAV4, Camry, Highlander)
The hybrid battery fan pulls cabin air through a filter by the rear seat. Pet hair and dust choke it, the pack overheats and the car throws P0A7F or a battery fan code. Cleaning the fan early can save a battery that would otherwise die years too soon.
Inverter coolant pump failure
When the inverter water pump stops, the inverter overheats and the car drops into limp mode with a red triangle. It is a common, fixable failure. Inverter water pumps are $475 with a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty.
Brake actuator and "Check VSC" warnings
Hybrid Toyotas use an electronic brake actuator for regenerative braking. When it fails you get a buzzing pump, a hard pedal and several dash lights at once. We test the accumulator and actuator before we quote a part.
bZ4X charging and 12V issues
Most bZ4X complaints trace back to the 12V battery or charging-session faults. We test the 12V system, read the EV battery and charger data, and tell you whether it is a quick fix or a warranty claim for the dealer.

Do you work on the RAV4 Hybrid and RAV4 Prime?
Yes. We handle RAV4 Hybrid and RAV4 Prime battery diagnostics, battery cooling, inverter cooling, brakes and general maintenance. Call with your year and mileage and we will quote the job.
Is it worth fixing an older Toyota hybrid?
Usually, yes. A Camry or Prius with a healthy engine and body often has another 100,000 miles in it after a battery job. If the car needs more than it is worth, we will tell you before any work starts.
Do I have to go to the Toyota dealer to keep my warranty?
No. Federal law lets you service your car at an independent shop without voiding the factory warranty. If a repair is still covered by Toyota, we will tell you so you can use that coverage.
